Representing Numbers

Manipulatives can be used to build and visualize numbers.  Using a variety of manipulatives to demonstrate numbers through place value.  Students might choose to use these manipulatives to represent their number during number of the day activities, building number tasks and when working on operations.  Building a firm sense of ten is important for students gain a sense of place-value.
